Financial Planning empowered Stu & Kat to overcome unexpected financial difficulties
Stu & Kat
We are so thankful that we began with Phil when we did. It has empowered us to face our financial future with whatever obstacles life throws at us
As a couple we weren’t doing too badly with our finances, and were managing to stay afloat after each of our 3 children came along and we became a single income household.
It was mid 2013, when a complication of a medical kind entered our lives, that things started to change for us. Our 2 year old son was diagnosed with a chronic medical condition (Type 1 Diabetes). Caring for him meant a longer period without a dual income, not to mention the enormous financial cost of managing his condition.
When we started having to dip into our savings to make it through the fortnight, we both decided we needed help. Thankfully Phil and Grandma’s Jars stepped in.
Phil’s passion for budgeting is contagious, and he has walked us through the Grandma’s Jars program in a clear and helpful manner. He is kind, understanding and always manages to be encouraging. He even helped us to see that our son’s medical expenses were the equivalent of an additional small mortgage…so it was no wonder we were starting to go backwards.
We are so thankful that we began with Phil when we did. It has empowered us to face our financial future with whatever obstacles life throws at us. Our son’s diagnosis has taught us that you never know what is around the corner.
Even if you think you’re doing well, and don’t really need to have a budget. We would encourage anyone to get on board with Grandma’s Jars ASAP! It’s great!
